MW-DYN Belt type thickener filter press

Working principle:

1. Sludge pretreatment: Before treating the sludge, a high molecular flocculant (such as PAM) is usually added to promote the coagulation of fine particles into larger flocs, thereby improving the dewatering efficiency.

2. Gravity Concentration Section (Thickening Section): The sludge is evenly distributed on the moving filter cloth (usually a permeable fabric), and under the effect of gravity, some free water passes through the filter cloth and is discharged, resulting in the initial concentration of the sludge.

3. Pressing and Dewatering Section (Filter Press Section): The concentrated sludge enters the pressing area composed of multiple sets of rollers. The sludge carried by the filter cloth passes through a series of decreasing-diameter pressing rollers, and the pressure between the rollers gradually increases, further extracting moisture.

4. Formation and Removal of Filter Cake: As the moisture is continuously removed, a filter cake with a lower water content (typically reduced to 75% - 85%) is formed. At the end of the equipment, it is removed by a scraper or flushing device.

5. Filter cloth regeneration: After use, the filter cloth is cleaned by the high-pressure water flushing system to restore its permeability and prevent blockage, enabling continuous operation.
